The problem: tarnish and stains

Many customers report that, after installation, stoneware flooring always appears dirty, with marks, stains, or footprints visible, especially when viewed against the light or after walking on it with wet shoes. Even common liquids such as soft drinks, wine, lemon juice, vinegar, pet urine, or baby spit-up can accentuate the problem.

Why does this happen?

In 95% of cases, the cause is not the stoneware itself, but the presence of surface residue from film-forming or waxing products. This is a film invisible to the naked eye that alters the appearance of the surface.

What does it depend on?

Residue can form for various reasons:

Incorrect cleaning after installation
Excessive or incorrect use of concentrated detergents
Inadequate rinsing with clean water
Too frequent washing

How can you recognize the problem?

Place a new, uninstalled tile on the floor in a well-lit area.
Observe it from a distance of 3-4 meters with grazing light (e.g., near a window).
If the floor surface appears shinier than the new tile, this means that there is a chemical residue present.

This is one of the most common problems with stoneware, but it is not due to the ceramic material itself, but rather to incorrect treatment and cleaning.

How to apply the PATINA REMOVAL KIT

1. PRELIMINARY TEST

Find a tile that is not too prominent.

Mark the tile with paper tape.
Pour a capful of water and then a capful of B Clean onto the tile.
Rub the solution with the Magic Clean Kit plate and green pad, distributing it evenly over the entire tile.
Wait 1 minute.
Pour 1/2 cup of water onto the tile.
Pour 1/2 glass of water onto the tile.
Rub with the plate and MagicPad.
Wait 1 minute.
Dry the tile thoroughly with absorbent paper towels.

Now look at the clean tile against the light together with the unlaid tile.

If the shine is the same as the unlaid tile: PROBLEM SOLVED.

If the shine has been reduced but there is still a difference between

the clean tile and the laid tile, repeat the test in all its points

using B Clean concentrate.

2. WORK PROCEDURE

Clear the work area (15-20 square meters) of furniture and protect metal parts.

Prepare a solution with one part B Clean and one part water.
Apply the solution with the Magic Clean plate and ultra microfiber cloth.
Scrub with the Magic Clean plate and green Magic pad.
Pour a little water onto the surface and rub with the Magic Clean plate and Magic Pad.
Leave the solution to act for 5 minutes.
Collect the solution with the Magic Clean plate and dry ultra-microfiber cloth.
Check the result obtained.
